Full moon eclipse According to Indian time on July 27, 2018, the eclipse will start at 2 pm and start at 54 minutes.

The Moon is eclipsed when it moves within the shadow of the earth and the Sun is eclipsed when the Moon obstruct the light of the Sun or the Earth reaches in the shadow of the Moon. Lunar eclipse takes place in Purnima and Solar eclipse falls on Amavasya but these phenonmeana do not occur at every Amavasya or Purnima. The explanation for it is that the orbit of moon is inclined at an angle of 5d nearly to earth's orbit.
